MY ANALYSIS:

Colour Scheme:
Black, white and. Black and white are conflict colours so that may reflect the expression of the artist. Additionally, red connotes blood and gore which can further reflect the artist and his aggressive style.

Fonts:
There are only a couple of different fonts and they are all very minimal and plain. This relates to the rock genre as it's a mature audience, but with a rock style. It has masculine tone which reflects the hardcore, serious tone of the rock genre.

Masthead:
Positioned behind the artist - to show that the main focus if on the artist. It's white which is bright, therefore attracting the audience. White also connotes purity which shows the audience that the magazine has maturity.

Main Image:
The main image is a mid-length shot of the artist, but also very focused on the face of the artist. There is no text covering him, even the masthead is behind him, which shows the artists significance and superiority in the genre. The facial expression is scary and angry which can mirror his type of rock music. He is wearing black eyeshadow, black jumper and his hair is dark which all blends together to connate danger and darkness, reflecting his music.

Coverlines:
The coverlines are all neatly aligned and in white colour. This not only shows the maturity of the magazine, but the colour white is bright and attractive, and connotes purity which allows the audience to trust the magazine and what it's saying.
